Hi. Is it just me of do others have tools that need a bit of TLC? I would love to hear from anyone who knows how to sharpen tools properly including secateurs, spades, and what else.
What other maintenance should I (we all?) do with our tools to keep them in perfect nick and make them last a lifetime?
First rule: Clean after use and store away so not exposed to weather.
There was a great segment on Gardening Australia last week where Costa had his grandfather's old saw and repaired it - sharpening it and getting the rust off. Perhaps the men's shed team might be able to help?
