Welcome to Blairgowrie Community Garden.
Thank you for visiting the website of the Blairgowrie Community Garden.
We are an enthusiastic bunch of local residents brought together by Anne van Veen and her vision to establish a garden that the local community can enjoy and benefit from. We're all volunteers, who came together back in 2018 to convert some unused council land into a community garden.
We run fundraising events and have been generously supported by local businesses, community groups and individuals. We've also benefitted from government grants, local and federal for which we are very grateful. The local Men's Shed have also helped build some of the structural things in the garden and done a great job. The garden is thriving and all produce from the garden is shared among members. We have community garden beds - no private plots.
Please view a short video of our garden taken by one of our members
at our first working bee after being closed for two months.
The veggie beds were a bit sparse compared to our summer season but
everyone was keen to get planting our winter crops and build more beds.
